Forest of Piano

Nestled in the heart of the forest lies a deserted piano, and if you were to stroll by, you might catch the sound of melodic notes emanating from it. At the bench, you would find a young boy named Kai Ichinose, who resides with his mother, a single woman employed as a prostitute. While not always an exemplary student, Kai is resolute in his efforts to protect Shuuhei Amamiya, a new student who has recently joined their class and is constantly targeted by bullies.
Born into a family of distinguished pianists, Shuuhei feels the weight of his parents’ expectations on his young shoulders and diligently trains each day to match their legacy. In contrast, Kai—aided by his teacher, a renowned former pianist—strives not only to surpass Shuuhei’s skills, but also to become the preeminent pianist in all of Japan. Although their friendly competition spurs them onwards to greater heights, their rivalry also inspires other budding pianists worldwide.
